They may be 55 miles apart, but Manitowoc and Saukville have something in common: a man from the former bought a ticket while in the latter and is $3.8 million richer for it.
The Wisconsin Lottery said that the winning Megabucks ticket sold on June 24th in Saukville was purchased by Rudolph Baumann of Manitowoc. Baumann claimed his prize in Madison last week. In the process, the Kwik Trip on Green Bay Avenue won $76,000 in Retailer Performance Incentives as the seller.
The prize is the second big win from Megabucks in Wisconsin this year – a $1.5 million ticket was sold in Burlington on January 28.
