A much-needed soaking of rain has moved through Sheboygan County, and it did so without many complications from the thunderstorms that produced it.
Severe storms from central Wisconsin weakened by the time they moved through here, and between yesterday and overnight over a half inch fell at the Sheboygan County airport. With June coming in about 3/4 of an inch short and only a half inch for the first week of July, the rain was welcome for farmers and gardeners and will help perk up dry lawns.
More thunderstorms are expected today, mostly before 5 PM, and the weekend is shaping up to be very warm and dry with plenty of sun.
