An atmosphere loaded with heat and moisture is raising concerns of severe weather over much of southern Wisconsin on Wednesday and Thursday.
The National Weather Service expressed increasing confidence for the severe potential on Wednesday, with multiple rounds of thunderstorms possible beginning overnight into tomorrow morning, and continuing into the day on Thursday.
Sheboygan County is under a 3 out of 5 risk level tomorrow morning between 3 and 9 AM with the greatest threats being those of large hail and damaging winds. Heavy rainfall may also be included.
Late tomorrow afternoon through tomorrow evening, those same concerns exist along with a medium chance that tornadoes could occur somewhere in southeastern Wisconsin, especially between 6 and 10 PM Wednesday.
Thursday’s potential for severe weather is given a level of 2 out of 5 for Sheboygan County, but both the timing and severity depend on what happens on Wednesday.
Another significant impact on people will be high heat and humidity both tomorrow and Thursday when highs in the mid-upper 80s yield heat index values in the 90s.
Forecasters advise that people review their severe weather safety plan now and have multiple ways to receive warnings – especially overnight when awareness is otherwise low.
