Lowell Edward Blanke, age 78, was welcomed into the arms of angels on Friday, May 15, 2026. He was born in Plymouth on June 18, 1947 to the late Merlin Blanke and Adeline (Holtzmann) Littlefield. On November 4, 1977, he was united in marriage to Mary Walter.
Lowell was a hard worker all of his life. He was a machine operator in the Manitowoc area for over 40 years, retiring from International Paper Company. In his free time, he loved die-cast cars, and crossword puzzles. Above all, he loved just being with his large family, especially his grandbabies. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Lowell is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary, and his children Todd (Angela Mwanza) Blanke, Adam (Aimee Franz) Blanke, Jeff (Susie) Milbrath, Julie (Nick Pennings) Milbrath, and Mark (Nicole) Milbrath; and his sisters Pat Zaletel and Vicki (Roger) Vogel. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Lowell is preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Blanke, and his brother-in-law Bill Zaletel.
A Celebration of Lowell’s life will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., at Zimmer Westview Funeral Home, W2132 Garton Rd. in Sheboygan.
