(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 19, 2026 – With a new look, team alignment, and intended schedule on the docket, Alex Pokorski and the GR8 Team rolled out their 2026 campaign by entering a Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series event at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., on Saturday, May 16.
Behind the wheel of a black-and-blue No. 4 car, Pokorski opened the night strong by qualifying sixth in the 32-car field with a lap of 11.528 seconds. In the second heat race, the seventh-year Sprint Car competitor posted a sixth-place finish from the third starting spot, coming up one spot short of an A-main transfer position.
After lining up on the pole of the 12-lap IRA B main, Pokorski led flag-to-flag to earn his first race victory of the 2026 season. The West Bend native launched from 21st in the 30-lap A main, endured two caution flags, and a red flag period on the way to a 15th-place showing.
“I felt the night was a mixed bag,” Pokorski said. “I got to shake off some rust, but also had a steep learning curve with plenty of new changes to our car. We had some flashes of speed with a sixth-place qualifying effort and a B main win, but struggled a bit in the heat and feature. Now we are getting things sorted and ready to go for the High Limit shows.”
Pokorski is preparing to make his national tour series debut with a pair of Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing events at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis., on Wednesday, June 3, and Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis., on Thursday, June 4.
Pokorski will close out the week by entering his first career NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Series event at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis., on Saturday, June 6.
