Plymouth;s Common Council received community survey results this week, showing a majority of residents believe it is important to increase the number of Plymouth Police officers. More than 1350 Plymouth residents responded to the Community Survey.
According to those participating, 35% stated that it was important that the city increase the number of police officers, with 34% saying that it was somewhat important. When asked if they would support a referendum to pay for the additional officers, 47% answered either definitely, or probably yes, 14% said probably not, and 24% percent said definitely not. And finally residents were asked on a scale of 1-10 how likely they would be to recommend the City of Plymouth to a friend or family member; Plymouth scored very high—averaging a score of 8.4.
