A 39-year-old man from Shawano has lost his life in a midday Monday crash.
The accident happened in the Town of Chilton when, according to the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office, he drove his Kia SUV westbound after a stop on Highway “PP” across Highway 57 and into the path of a southbound dump truck. The Kia driver was declared deceased at the scene, while the driver of the dump truck, a 72-year-old man from Luxemburg, escaped injury.
The investigation is preliminary at this time, and the names of the drivers have not yet been released.
