Jennifer J. Johnson, age 77, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born in Sheboygan on October 15, 1948, to the late Robert and Virginia (Kross) Jung.
Jennifer attended local schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1967, where her congeniality was recognized by her fellow student body by being elected as social event chairperson on the student council. Jennifer went on to earn an Associate of Arts in Retailing from Virginia Intermont College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was later united in marriage to Dale A. Johnson, with whom she shared a deep and enduring love. In 1987, Jennifer and Dale moved to Eau Claire, where she managed the local Prange’s Department Store, while Dale served as a professor at University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. Jennifer found great joy in her work in customer service and retail management and was also employed at Marshall Field’s, Younkers, J.C. Penney, Victoria’s Secret, and Dillard’s. She most recently retired from The Emporium Gift Shop in Kohler. Jennifer was well known for her infectious positive attitude and for going above and beyond in her roles, as she earned numerous awards and accolades for her leadership and dedication to superior customer service.
Jennifer and Dale shared a truly remarkable marriage, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship. It is difficult to imagine two people more devoted to one another. Dale preceded her in death after 41 years of marriage on May 8, 2022.
Jennifer will be remembered as one of the kindest and most thoughtful individuals one could ever know. She had a remarkable way of making others feel remembered and valued—never missing a birthday, holiday, or special occasion without sending a heartfelt card or message, often accompanied by a thoughtful note and a small gift. Her generosity, warmth, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was a member of the Black River Advancement Association and enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, and savoring a good glass of wine. Her gentle spirit, kindness, and enduring thoughtfulness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her brother, James Jung; her niece, Jill (Dan) Van Maaren, and her nephew, Justin (fiancé Parisha) Jung. Many other relatives and friends survive. Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, John Jung.
