Sheboygan residents with ideas on how to improve safety on city streets and walkways can make those ideas known directly to city leaders.
The city is developing a Transportation Safety Action Plan and wants to hear from walkers, bikers, drivers and even skateboarders on how Sheboygan can be safer for everyone, however they roll. Two Safety Days have been scheduled, Tuesday May 12th and Wednesday the 13th, with four locations holding successive events from the morning through the evening hours. Recent traffic calming projects will be evaluated, and Walk and Bike Audits will be conducted by volunteers to evaluate the safety of those activities in various locations around the city.
Input sessions generally last around two hours and are scattered throughout the city. Find a full schedule posted by the City and access to volunteer forms here.
