The City of Sheboygan will have DPW crews on street duty, filling cracks that have shown up on many city streets during the cold weather months. Operations will begin on May 11th and run through the end of the month, depending on the weather.
A list of streets to be targeted was published by the City of Sheboygan on Wednesday, but there’s no fixed schedule. Work will be done between 5 AM and 4 PM and No Parking signs will be posted the night prior to the work being performed. While crews are active on the job the streets will be closed to traffic for the safety of the worker and to allow for the grinding and filling operations. Streets to be addressed include:
S 8th Street from Georgia Avenue to Union Avenue
S 17th Street from Maryland Avenue to Union Avenue
Union Avenue from South 17th Street to Railroad Tracks
Sauk Trail from Broadway Avenue to South 17th Street
Broadway Avenue from South 17th Street to South 23rd Street
Swift Avenue from South 14th Street to South 8th Street
South 11th Street from Union Avenue to Indiana Avenue
Water Street from New Jersey Avenue to Virginia Avenue
New Jersey Avenue (Center lanes) from South 15th Street to Railroad Tracks
Evans Avenue from Pennsylvania Avenue to Erie Avenue
Pennsylvania Avenue from North 5th Street to Broughton Dr
North 6th Street from Niagara Avenue to Superior Avenue
North 8th Street from Superior Avenue to National Avenue
North 10th Street from Erie Avenue to Superior Avenue
North 8th Street from Geele Avenue to Highland Terrace
North Avenue from North 15th Street to North 13th Street
Geele Avenue from Calumet Dr to North 3rd Street
