A second shed fire in as many days has been reported in Fond du Lac County. Shortly before 4:30 on Monday afternoon the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was called by a passerby who saw a shed burning on Triple “S” Road about three miles north of Campbellsport. Deputies arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the shed and by the time responders from the Campbellsport, Eden and Kewaskum Fire Departments arrived, flames were appearing on the roof.
Nearby residents were alerted, and quick work kept the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings before being extinguished. The shed was significantly damaged as were multiple tools and equipment kept inside. Investigators believe that an unattended wood stove was the cause of the fire and no suspicious evidence was found at the scene. No injuries were reported.
