The threat of severe weather that would include damaging winds and hail has mostly retreated to our south, but National Weather Service forecasters still want Sheboygan County residents to be aware of possible heavy rainfall today and tonight.

Expectations are for rain and weak storms to move through from mid morning to early this afternoon with a lull that may even allow a little sunshine before more organized storms return for the late afternoon and evening hours. Although there’s a marginal-to-slight risk of severe weather in Sheboygan County, most of that should be south of the I-94 corridor. Still, there’s a good chance for a half inch or so of rain that will fall on some pretty wet ground causing runoff and ponding. However with the Sheboygan River now well within its banks, it’s unlikely that flooding would become a problem here.
