High Water Levels Prompt Slow – No Wake Orders in Winnebago County

With shoreline properties at risk of damage and erosion, Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz has enacted “Slow No Wake” provisions on all navigable waterways within Winnebago County.  The declaration imposes a Slow-No-Wake zone within 500 feet of any permanent structure and will remain in effect until water recedes to a non-threatening level.
