Motorist should be mindful around several Sheboygan County work zones this week, including along the major I-43 reconstruction project between Wilson Lima Road and Highway 42.
This week the contractor is continuing rehab work on various structures between Highway 42 and County Road “V”, while crews will continue base patching work in both directions along that same stretch. Crews are also continuing the replacement of right-of-way fencing between Highway 32 at Cedar Grove and Highway 23 in Sheboygan. Daytime closure of the outside lanes along with a 14-foot width restriction will affect traffic in both directions.
Meanwhile DOT maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on Highway 57 between County Highway “O” and Woodland Road on Wednesday between 6 and 9 AM with a flag crew controlling traffic flow in that zone. Maintenance is also scheduled for Highway 23 between County Road “P” and Highway 32 today through Thursday between 6 AM and 4 PM daily. A moving lane closure will be used during those repairs.
