PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) April 16, 2026 – After getting his first taste of competing as a regular with a regional touring Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car series in 2025, Alex Pokorski is planning a bit of a different course during the upcoming 2026 campaign.
Through a new alliance with the GR8 Team, Pokorski will field his No. 4 car in approximately 15 events in 2026, starting with the IRA at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., on Saturday, May 2.
The team’s tentative 2026 schedule features seven IRA events and one Wilmot Raceway open race. The season is also set to include Pokorski’s foray into national series competition with five NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws and two Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing events on the docket. Additional races may be added as the season progresses.
In his first full-time season of 410 Sprint Car action, the West Bend, Wis. native entered all but two IRA events in 2025, while mixing in six Akright Auto Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) 360 Sprint Car contests.
A year ago, Pokorski posted one podium showing, one top-five, one top-10, five top-15, and eight top-20 A-main finishes in 22 IRA events. He also tallied one B main, heat race, and dash appearance on the way to a 16th-place finish in the final 2025 IRA point standings.
The clear highlight of his 2025 IRA season was a spectacular second-place showing in the Jerry Richert Memorial main event at Cedar Lake Speedway last September.
In his sixth season of 360 Sprint Car action, Pokorski tallied one A-main victory, four podium, four top-five, five top-10, six top-15 showings, and two fast qualifier awards in six PDTR 360 Sprint Car events to place 22nd in the final point standings.
Pokorski’s 360 campaign included his second career Midwest Sprint Car Association A-main victory and first career win at The Plymouth Dirt Track on July 12, which came following a daring last-lap pass.
“Our schedule will be pick and choose this year,” Pokorski said. “It will primarily be IRA events. I’m also excited to try our hand against the High Limit and World of Outlaws series for a few nights.”
