PARIS, April 16 (Reuters) – Pernod Ricard’s talks to merge with U.S. rival Brown-Forman are continuing, Pernod Ricard’s finance chief said on Thursday.
Helene de Tissot told a conference call with analysts that talks are “ongoing”, adding the company does not intend to communicate further.
U.S. spirits group Sazerac has also offered to buy Brown-Forman for about $15 billion, a source familiar with the matter said on Wednesday, complicating Pernod Ricard’s attempt to merge with the Jack Daniel’s maker.
