Severe thunderstorms rolled through Sheboygan County and the surrounding area overnight with heavy rain, but Sauk, Columbia and Jefferson Counties reported most of the damage with roof collapses and large trees downed. Closer to home, a barn containing 30-40 cattle collapsed near Rosendale in Fond du Lac County just before midnight with reports not yet detailing any injuries to the animals.
The Sheboygan County Airport recorded 1.81 inches of rain since midnight, and along with the .8 received on Monday the Sheboygan River at Esslingen Park was just short of the 6-foot “Action” stage at 4 AM, and forecasts anticipate it will reach 7.4 feet by 1 PM Wednesday, causing minor lowland flooding near the river, and water inundating marina docks and piers in Sheboygan.

The next batch of rain comes this afternoon and tonight with some storms becoming severe, threatening possible hail up to 2” in diameter, damaging winds, isolated tornadoes and more rains possibly adding to the flooding worries.
