A Howards Grove High School Student has won a silver medal in the Wisconsin Skills USA Competition held recently in Madison.
Shalia Randall was awarded a silver in Barbering at the high school level. The Gold was awarded to Bryan Cuahuizo Gutierrez of Madison La Follette High School.
More than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students competed while business and industry representatives from over 100 companies participated in the conference.
A team from Lakeshore College also competed but did not win. The first-place winners in Madison will go on to compete in the National SkillsUSA Championships June 1-5 in Atlanta, Georgia.
