Things are about to get a bit more complicated on Sheboygan’s south side as reconstruction of South Business Drive between Union and Georgia Avenues is scheduled to begin this Wednesday. The construction includes storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter repairs, concrete panel replacements and new pavement markings.
The work will require reductions to one lane of traffic in each direction and no detours will be emplaced. Access to businesses and homes will be maintained during the work, which is expected to be completed sometime in June, but exact schedules depend upon the weather.
South Business Drive is a main artery on Sheboygan’s south side and the Department of Public Works understands the inconvenience that will result. They’re asking for the public’s patience and for drivers to slow down in the construction zone.
