A man who suffered severe head and facial injuries at the Mauthe Lake Recreational Area on Sunday has died of his injuries.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office reports that 84-year-old Carl Holter of West Bend fell while on a trail near the boat launch at around 5 PM Sunday, prompting responders to call Flight for Life given the seriousness of his injuries.
He was transported to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, but was unable to recover.
