A film festival intended to connect coastal communities to the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary will celebrate its second year in Manitowoc in about two weeks.
The second annual Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast International Film Festival will be held April 10th at the Franciscan Center for Music Education and Performance at 6751 Calumet Avenue in Manitowoc beginning with the doors opening to a pre-event reception and refreshments at 5 PM. A series of ten, 5 to 25-minute nationally and internationally-produced films will follow from 6-8:30 PM, highlighting kiteboarding, deep ocean discoveries, shipwrecks, Great Lakes exploration and more. The event is hosted in collaboration with the Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary, International Ocean Film Festival, and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation.
