A threat of strong to severe thunderstorms is being closely monitored by the National Weather Service. Thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds and hail are expected in two rounds; one this evening into tonight, and another from Tuesday morning through the afternoon hours, with Sheboygan County and those to our north and west given a marginal risk of such activity in both periods.

Storms should be scattered and not widespread, with the greater, but still slight risks of ping-pong ball sized hail and damaging winds occurring tonight south of a Lone Rock to Beaver Dam to Port Washington line. The risk on Tuesday is marginal, with smaller, quarter-size hail and 60 MPH wind gusts. And while any storms could produce heavy downpours, the potential for widespread flooding is low.
