A Thursday morning head-on crash about five miles west of Omro in Winnebago County has claimed the lives of the only two persons involved.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the collision shortly before 10 AM Thursday on State Highway 21 Near County Highway “K” in the Township of Rushford, only moments after the crash happened.
Each vehicle was occupied only by the driver. One was a 32-year-old Berlin man and the other, an 83-year-old man from Redgranite. Both suffered fatal injuries during the crash. The highway was closed upon response and remained closed for several hours as the cleanup and investigation continued.
