The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Climate Prediction Center has determined that Sheboygan County has returned to a Moderate Drought in the northern third, and to Abnormally Dry in the central third. The southern third remains sufficiently moist. Forecasts for the coming weeks and months suggest that drought will persist in the northern portion of the county for the time being.
Statistically speaking, 40,082 Sheboygan County residents are affected by drought, accounting for 34.7% of the population. 2025 was the 31st driest year to date out of the past 131 years logged.
