Although not a complete “miss”, the National Weather Service now expects a majority of trouble from the next snow storm to stay well to the south of Sheboygan County.
The latest forecasts suggest low pressure will stay far enough away to avoid major accumulations, which are now predicted for areas along and south of I-94, while we deal with only an inch or two.

NWS Graphic
Snow is expected in two rounds: overnight and then again on Wednesday from 4-10 PM. What we won’t escape will be gusty winds later Wednesday that could cause blowing snow and slippery conditions.

NWS Graphic
In the wake of the snow comes the next round of severe cold, with the latest predictions indicating wind chills that could reach 35 below zero early Friday morning.
