A 78-year-old man from the community of Pickett, located between Oshkosh and Ripon, is in critical condition following a Tuesday morning accident.
Fond du Lac County deputies along with North Fond du Lac Fire/EMS and the Lamartine Volunteer Fire Department responded just before 9 AM today to reports of a single vehicle crash on Fond du Lac County Highway “OO” in the Town of Lamartine where it appeared that a vehicle had left the roadway and struck both a boat and a trailer.
Black ice was found to have been responsible for the vehicle losing control. Despite seatbelt use by the driver and lone occupant, injuries required a Flight for Life transport to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah where he remains in critical condition at this time.
