A 17-year-old Sheboygan woman has perished in a two-vehicle, Saturday morning crash. The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the events that led to the collision in the area of State Highways 57/32 and Cemetery Road, just southeast of the City of Kiel.
Initial determinations are that a 17-year-old Sheboygan woman was southbound on Highways 57/32 around 7 AM Saturday when she lost control of her Buick LaCrosse, crossed over the median into the northbound lane of traffic and collided with a GMC Yukon operated by a 65-year-old Port Washington man.
The 17-year-old operator was declared deceased at the scene, while the 65-year-old driver of the Yukon was transported for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Reconstruction by the Wisconsin State Patrol is still underway and no further information release is anticipated at this time.
