Those living in Southeastern Wisconsin, especially towards Fond du Lac and Sheboygan, are being advised to prepare for slippery conditions overnight, resulting from a variety of precipitation expected to fall between now and 6 AM Monday.
While minor accumulations of snow, sleet and freezing rain are possible now through 10 PM, continuing snow and sleet could add up to an inch or so by 6 AM, with ice accumulations under a quarter inch. All this will fall as temperatures remain in the low-mid 20s.
Although no advisories affect Sheboygan County, both Calumet and Manitowoc Counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory until 4 this afternoon for freezing rain.
Temperatures should rise into the mid 30s on Monday afternoon, relieving any slipperiness on ground surfaces, and the next round of precipitation is forecast to begin by 12 AM Tuesday morning in the form of rain with temperatures either side of freezing, possibly posing the next round of hazards in our area.
