The National Weather Service is urging caution this evening, much as it did this morning, for the chance of freezing precipitation that could turn roadways into ice rinks.
Drizzle is likely across all of southern Wisconsin late this afternoon and evening, and conditions favorable for the development of freezing drizzle are most likely north of I-94, but with a high degree of uncertainty. That all depends upon how air and road temperatures respond to the onset and progress of overnight conditions.
For now, meteorologists are advising drivers to exercise caution and awareness, especially between 6 PM and midnight tonight. Wet roads may then freeze once again during the Tuesday morning commute if temperatures slip below the freezing mark.
