A much-touted bout of wintry weather is poised to pounce on Sheboygan County. Forecasters have eyed this weekend as the likely dates to get the first flakes of the season over much of Wisconsin. For Sheboygan County, that’s likely to happen late Saturday afternoon as cold rain mixes with, and then becomes mostly snow, especially after dark. While some areas, especially toward the southeast, might see some slushy accumulation, most places will struggle to stack up a few tenths of an inch by daybreak on Sunday.
Even though that might not look much like winter, the feel of winter air will be unmistakable as temperatures drop into the 20s and winds drive the “feels-like” temperature into the low teens by Sunday morning. And for the first part of next week, we can expect plenty of clouds, some flurries, and temperatures limited to the 30s until Wednesday.
