Search and rescue airboats manufactured by 1000 Island Airboats in Marion have been voted as the “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” for 2025. The annual contest is presented by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce and the Johnson Financial Group.
For the first two rounds of voting Sheboygan County’s Carbliss and Sargento were both in the running, but eliminated in the second round of voting.
1000 Island Search and Rescue Airboats, built in Marion, are especially designed for winter conditions and utilized by numerous municipalities and federal agencies.
