Sheboygan’s Domestic Abuse Shelter, Safe Harbor, has announced a change in its leadership. The organization announced on Monday that Executive Director Deborah Lee will step down from her role effective on December 31st this year. During the transition, Jeanne McLellan will join Safe Harbor and assume the role of Chief Executive Officer effective on November 3rd this year.
McLellan most recently served as the Executive Director of the National Alliance on Mental Illness Dane County, and as CEO of Safe Harbor, will continue strengthening programs, expanding community partnerships, and advancing its mission to provide safety, spport and advocacy for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Safe Harbor Board President, Sheri Murphy, thanked Lee for her years of service and dedication, while adding that “Jeanne’s leadership style and depth of experience make her an excellent fit to guide Safe Harbor into its next chapter.”
