The closure of Washington Avenue on Sheboygan’s south side has been lifted – with restrictions – and full opening is just days away.
After having been closed to prepare for repaving, traffic is now open to one lane in each direction between South Taylor Drive and South Business Drive, most of that in the eastbound lanes, with traffic cones marking the centerline.
Milling and paving operations will occur today and Friday, with pavement marking scheduled for Monday. Weather permitting, all traffic control will be removed by the end of the day on Monday, and with the project complete, full operation should be restored on Tuesday.
