A health care agency that provides public services to the Sheboygan area will merge with another central Wisconsin provider.
Lakeshore Community Health Care, which has clinics in Sheboygan, Manitowoc and West Bend, will merge with Noble Community Clinics. That organization currently operates in Beaver Dam, Wautoma, Stevens Point, Friendship and Mauston.
An announcement released last week said that the merger isn’t driven by financial need, but by what it called a shared commitment to strengthening care for the communities they serve. Laura Waldvogel, CEO of Noble Community Clinics said that the partnership “…is about integrating our two health centers; building on our shared values and ensuring people can get the right care, at the right time, in the right way.”
Lakeshore Community Health Care CEO, Kristin Stearns, agreed, saying that “Together, we’ll be able to meet the needs of our patients in new and innovative ways, and attract and retain mission-driven staff, ensuring our patients continue to receive the compassionate, accessible care they depend on.”
The organizations will work to align operations over the next several months, with the launch of a unified entity expected early next year pending federal approval.
