Data released Thursday morning by the Wisconsin Realtors Association shows that home prices in Sheboygan County during July were up 18.9% compared to July of last year, by far the greatest gain in any of the surrounding counties. The median home price last month was $315,000; that compares to $265,00 last year. Fond du Lac County had a 6.3% growth year-over-year…the next best. On the other hand, prices in Ozaukee County declined by 2.3% with a median price of $479,900 – the highest in our area. Manitowoc County had the most affordable median price at $230,000 last month.
Sales were flat compared to last year in Sheboygan County. Manitowoc County had a gain of 12.2% while Ozaukee County experienced a 20.7% decline in sales.
Sheboygan County had a middle-of-the-road 3.6 month inventory on hand, and it took an average of 62 days on the market before sale, both figures increasing since last year.
