A pink backpack owned by one of three persons arrested near Van Dyne in Fond du Lac County on Tuesday has been located.
The backpack was discarded after a car being chased out of Winnebago County was abandoned in rural Fond du Lac County. Authorities were able to locate the three persons involved and seized cocaine, crack, THC, psychedelic mushrooms, paraphernalia and ammunition, but were unable to locate the backpack.
A private citizen living near the scene eventually found that backpack and turned it over to authorities. It was found to contain ammunition, extended handgun magazines and items of drug paraphernalia. However, the alleged handgun was not found with the rest, and a search for that continues.
