Residents living in the area of Van Dyne in Fond du Lac County are being told to be on the lookout for items missing after a traffic stop yielded drugs and ammunition on Tuesday.
A vehicle being pursued southbound on I-41 by Winnebago County authorities was picked up by Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies who abandoned the pursuit near Van Dyne where the suspect vehicle was eventually located parked off Lincoln Road. Two persons were apprehended nearby, but a third person became the subject of a drone and K9 search and eventually taken into custody. The three, ages 18 to 28, all face charges in both Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties.
A vehicle search turned up cocaine and crack cocaine packaged for sale along with Psilocybin, THC vape pens and ammunition. They’re still searching for a pink backpack that had been stashed beneath a tree near Lincoln Road which may contain more drugs and a handgun.
