Efforts to meet the crime of human trafficking head-on in Sheboygan County have been recognized by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The Sheboygan County Human Trafficking Task Force was selected to receive the Excellence in Outreach and Prevention award during Tuesday’s Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Conference.

The task force works locally with the Sheboygan Police Department and Sheboygan County Sheriff’s office to fight the crime, while raising awareness and supporting human trafficking victims in Sheboygan County through local agencies.
