A quarterly release of State Transportation Aids to improve local roads is headed for Sheboygan County. Governor Evers and the Department of Transportation announced the total $108 million release of General Transportation, Connecting Highway, and Expressway Policing Aids that will help municipalities repair, maintain, and improve local roads and highways throughout Wisconsin last Friday.
For Sheboygan County, a total of over $1.67 million ($1,677,443.64) will be made available. Of that, the City of Sheboygan will be receiving $720,998.03, Sheboygan Falls is in line for $129,960.66, and Plymouth will receive $120,101.70.
Wisconsin DOT Secretary Kristina Boardman said their agency is working with local leaders “…to improve the first and last mile of everyone’s trip, whether it’s a school pickup or drop off, doctor’s office visit or grocery store…”
