Another Sheboygan County Board vacancy – this time on the governing body over the Mead Public Library – has an appeal out for volunteers to serve. The opening results from the resignation of an individual currently appointed, whose term ends in April of 2026.
The person appointed to fill that role must live in a municipality of Sheboygan County without a public library that is subject to the county library tax. Those municipalities include the Towns of Greenbush, Herman, Holland, Lima, Lyndon, Mitchell, Mosel, Plymouth, Rhine, Russel, Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, Wilson, and the Villages of Cascade, Glenbeulah, Howards Grove and Waldo. The Board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.
The appointment will be made by County Administrator Alayne Krause, subject to approval of the full County Board. Those interested should send a letter stating as much, along with a brief resume no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21 to the attention of:
County Administrator Alayne Krause
