Sheboygan’s Sister City, Tsubame Japan, will be sending a delegation of a dozen or so students and adults on a visit to Sheboygan this summer, and families are being sought to provide the guests with lodging and an unforgettable Sheboygan experience.
The Sister City visit will involve 9 students and between 3 and 5 adult delegates on a visit from July 31 to August 6 in order to foster friendships, strengthen international ties, and share Sheboygan’s “Gemuetlichkeit”. The Mayor’s International Committee (MIC) will provide full support to host families and connect them with their guest before arrival in order to prepare. The City is especially encouraging families with teens (ages 13-16) to apply, but all families are welcome to offer their homes, sharing American culture, while also experiencing Japanese traditions firsthand.
The city called its relationship with Tsubame, Japan a “cherished bond” that has fostered decades of goodwill, cultural learning, and international friendship.
