Those wishing to vote in advance of the upcoming Spring Primary Election can do so in-person beginning tomorrow. The Wisconsin Elections Commission allows municipal clerks to begin issuing in-person absentee ballots at the clerk’s office or another designated location on February 4, two weeks before the election. Municipalities aren’t required to, but may allow that process through Sunday the 16th. Voters will need to complete their ballot immediately, seal the ballot in the proper envelope, and return it to a member of the clerk’s staff. In-person ballots aren’t allowed outside of the clerk’s office.
Meanwhile, Thursday, February 13 is the last day for most voters to request an absentee ballot by mail, online, email, or fax; however the WEC doesn’t guarantee enough time for the entire process if one waits until then to make the request. Voters should, instead, request those immediately online at https://myvote.wi.gov.
City of Sheboygan voters may vote in-person beginning tomorrow. Monday-Thursday hours are 7:30-4:30, with Friday hours until 11 a.m., later by appointment only. Curbside voting will also be available with a call to the City Clerk in advance. Voters elsewhere in the county should contact their municipal clerk for their particular details and schedules.
