Those who frequently travel or live near the intersection of Highway 32 and V between Gibbsville and Sheboygan Falls will want to know about changes they’re likely to see soon. The intersection is being considered for improvements and the Department of Transportation wants input on how to go about that.
The aim of the proposed project is to improve the safety of the intersection while providing acceptable traffic operations. As one might expect in the current age, the proposed improvements involve a single-lane roundabout that would replace the current two-way stop-controlled intersection.
The meeting is being held in order to give background information on the project, and to gather input and feedback on coordination needs and construction-related impacts the project might cause. Maps, displays and exhibits will give a better idea of what’s being proposed and there will be opportunities for one-on-one discussions with team members.
Those interested should plan on attending the meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 4 at the Lima Town Hall at N3689 County Highway “I”, Sheboygan Falls.
Members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, can contact Sarah Ericson, P.E., WisDOT Project Manager, 944 Vanderperren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304; Phone: 920-492-3511 or email sarah.ericson@dot.wi.gov.
