Efforts to brighten the holidays for the less-fortunate by area law enforcement agencies are being boosted by contributions from organizations and businesses. Those acts of generosity are being noted on social media pages, for example, from both the Sheboygan and Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Offices.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office participates along with the Sheboygan Police Department in the “Shop with a Cop” program that pairs law enforcement officers to shop with kids from deserving families, enabling them to enjoy a better holiday of giving and receiving. The Sheriff’s Office reported contributions from the six employees of Sheboygan’s Z&N Machine Company, which donated $9,000 towards the Sheboygan County efforts. Also getting a “thank-you” was Culver’s, which steered $5,000 towards the Sheboygan County Law Enforcement Association’s program.

In similar fashion, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office was the recipient of a donation to its holiday efforts when nursing students from Lakeshore College donated blankets and other supplies that will be used for those in the community in need.
