An incident of road rage resulted in gunshots on I-43, and an eventual arrest in Ozaukee County on Wednesday. The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office received the report of the incident at 10:52 a.m. Wednesday. That occurred on I-43 northbound, north of North Port Washington Road in the City of Mequon.
The Sheriff alleges that 21-year-old Cam’ron Bardney of Milwaukee fired that shot into a Toyota Tundra, striking the front passenger side door. The bullet entered the passenger compartment and came to rest on the center console without hitting the driver, who was not injured.
Bardney was located shortly afterwards in a business parking lot north of Mequon Road. He’s been charged with 1st Degree Reckless Endangering Safety, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle on Highway, and Possession of THC-2nd Offense.
I-43 northbound had to be shut down for 45 minutes during the investigation, and was re-opened at around 2:30 p.m.
