Joseph M. Richter, “Joe” passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center
Sheboygan County.
Joe was born on June 17, 1957 in Sheboygan a son to the late Gilbert and Lorraine (Rust)
Richter. He graduated from South High School in 1975. On July 3, 1982 he was united in
marriage to Karen Gustafson at Grace Episcopal Church. He was a bartender at Ranieri’s Four
Of A Kind where he enjoyed getting to know his many customers. Joe’s energy was contagious
brightening up any room he walked into.in. He was one that could make people feel at ease and
laugh, welcoming them with open arms. Joe enjoyed a variety of activities which included
bowling, having bowled a 300 game, pool, disc golf, mini golf and fishing. He especially enjoyed
sitting at a bonfire listening to his favorite Beatles music. Above all his family was of the highest
priority.
Joe is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughter Chantel Richter of Sheboygan and his son,
Tyler (Sami) Richter of Sheboygan; two granddaughters, Eva and Bria Richter; a brother,
Jerome (Janet) Richter of Missouri; his sister-in-law Mary Ann Richter of New York; his nephews
and nieces, Heather, Brian, Jonathan, Joy, Brooke, Drew, Reuben, Kevin, Renee and Danice.
Many other relatives and friends also survive. Along with his parents he was preceded in death
by his brothers, John and Jim Richter, a sister Jeannie Leonhardt a nephew Randy Richter and
two infant siblings.
A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held at Ranieri’s Four Of A Kind, 811 Indiana Avenue,
Sheboygan on Sunday, October 20 beginning at 12 Noon
Memorials in Joe’s name are preferred.
