Firefighters in Kiel were busy overnight with two incidents in quick succession. The KFD responded to a garage fire on 2nd Street just before 5 p.m. Monday afternoon, and then an accident less than 2 hours later.
The fire broke out around 4:50 p.m. Crews got the fire under control in just a couple of minutes, and nobody was hurt. While still cleaning up from that blaze they responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a truck in the city. That happened around 6:30pm. The person on the motorcycle was badly injured, and a medical helicopter was called to airlift them from the scene. There’s no information on the patient’s condition at this time.
