MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Friday her administration would not be “provoked” by the country’s Supreme Court accepting to hear a challenge to a controversial judicial reform that was passed into law.
“Eight ministers of the Supreme Court cannot stop the judicial reform,” Sheinbaum told a morning press conference, saying opponents were looking to provoke a reaction and brand the government as authoritarian.
