MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Jackson Chourio and Garrett Mitchell led the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-3 victory over the New York Mets in Game Two of their National League Wild Card Series at American Family Field on Wednesday night.
The 20-year-old Chourio had two home runs, including a game-tying solo home run in the eighth inning. Mitchell had a go-ahead two-run home run to cap off a three-run eighth.
Reliever Joe Ross got the win and Devin Williams secured the save.
Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo and Francisco Alvarez drove in runs for the Mets in the defeat. Reliever Phil Maton took the loss.
The series is tied at one game apiece. The deciding Game Three will be Thursday night in Milwaukee.
