A large quantity of methamphetamine has been taken off the streets following a traffic stop in Fond du Lac County on Tuesday. The stop happened at about 6:25 last evening when a Sheriff’s Office K9 handler stopped a vehicle for registration issues on northbound I-41 about two miles south of the City of Fond du Lac. The K9 was dispatched to do a sniff of the vehicle and alerted its handler, leading to the seizure of 3.1 pounds of methamphetamine. The operator, a 34-year-old Chicago man, is in the Fond du Lac County Jail, awaiting his initial court appearance on possession, manufacturing and delivery charges.
